I have been using my new Nokia N97 for last many days and let me tell you the device is just superb to have. There too many great features of the phone to describe. Let me just highlight few I like the most...
Looks Great
The phone looks very beautiful.
The keys are placed very nice and the QWERT keyboard is much finger friendly. The wide screen is great to watch movies.The smartphone transforms from a touch slate to a landscape QWERTY device.
Home Screen
The N97home screen personalised with number of useful widgets is a really what makes the device so special. The you can add widgets to stay in touch with world without need to refrsh webpages again and again. You can add your favourite contacts, put the music player, keep in touch of your facebook friends, watch the latest from stockworld, Track weather of your area with Accuweather, get news hadlines around the world or even add an RSS feed.
Camera and Music
The device has a 5 megapixel camera with Carl Zeiss optics and dual LED flash making it a nice tool to take snaps. The camer application is much better than N96. Video reording is much improved at 32 fps and yes Video Editing tool makes a comeback.
The N97 speakers are nice to provide good music experience (however I still prefer my N96 for music).
Sensors, GPS and Ovi Maps
It has a bunch of sensors like Accelerometer, Ambient Light Sensor, Magnetometer Sensor, Proximity Sensor giving number of additional facilities.
The A-GPS performance is much better than previous devices. Ovi Maps along with compass makes navigation a much smoother experince.
Battery
The BP-4L 3.7V 1500 mAh battery of N97 provides GSM talk time up to 9.5 is just enough to keep you tension free while travelling. (However device becomes bit heavier)
USB charging is now finally supported.
Memory and CPU
Nokia N97 comes with 32GB memory which can be extended up to 48GB by MicroSD card. The 434MHz ARM11 CPU is makes device much faster.
Browsing
So far it is the best Nokia browser. Pages load quite smoothly. Its nice to have Kinetic Scrolling feature making navigation much smooth.
