Nokia N900 Software Update PR 1.3 available!


A new software version for the Nokia N900,v.20.2010.36-2, has been released, adding full Ovi Suite support and various bug fixes and speed improvements.
Here are the official words:


A new software update is now available for your Nokia N900. The update adds Ovi Suite support to your N900 and makes it even easier to access and sync files and messages between your device and your desktop. In addition, we’ve added hundreds of tweaks and fixes that will make your N900 run faster and smoother than ever.
And there’s even more great news. Ovi Music Store is now accessible right from your N900 (where available). You can use your inbuilt browser to access music.ovi.com and download your favorite tunes straight to your device in DRM-free format.
Be sure to check out the latest games and apps from Ovi Store, like Angry Birds Level Packs 2 & 3, Kroll, Tower Boxx Deluxe 3D and Joiku WiFi Hot Spot. If you receive a not enough memory warning when you try to update the software, just uninstall a few apps and try again.

Nokia debuts ‘Touch and Type’ design with the latest Nokia X3-02

Nokia today unveils the super slim Nokia X3-02 Touch and Type, with a unique combination of a touch screen and traditional 12 button phone keypad. As Nokia’s first ‘Touch and Type’ phone, the Nokia X3 allows people to tap quickly on the bright color touch screen, as well as enjoy the familiarity of the full keypad for quick fire text messages and phone calls.

With its sleek and modern design coming in at a very thin 9.6mm – making it one of the slimmest Nokia phones ever – the Nokia X3 slips easily into the purse or the pocket, and looks the part with its brushed aluminum back cover which will come in five vibrant colors designed to suit any mood or wardrobe. Despite its size, the Nokia X3 is jam-packed with features including 3G, WLAN, a music player and an FM radio.

Lovers of the snapshot and social networks will enjoy a great 5 megapixel camera with 4X digital zoom that can take both still and video images.

In certain markets, the new phone will also be available with Ovi Music Unlimited, enabling the owner to access a virtually limitless range of the latest hit music that can be stored on the available 16GB memory card.

Expected to be on sale in the third quarter, the Nokia X3 is expected to retail for approximately EUR 125, excluding taxes and subsidies.
